Garbage problem 


   Environmental pollution is a serious global problem in the world. Large scale disasters are coursed by mistakes made on a small scale land pollution, air pollution, sound pollution, water pollution are the main types of pollution. Among them land pollution is a serious problem that the people have to face in these days. We have to face huge problems due to improper disposal of garbage. Normally we produces seven and a half pounds of garbage everyday. The people who live in urban area are the ones who suffered from this matter. Because of the insufficient space.

Garbage is the resource that nobody knows to utilise also, one’s rubbish is a row material for another. There for it can be seen that waste management is extremely important. Most of the people in Sri Lanka tend to dispose of factory and homes garbage in to the natural environment. The collapse of this places is a serious treat to the environment and human health.

I also live in a town and we are facing the same problem these days. There is a huge garbage dump in our area and it arouse so many critical problems to our day today life. This garbage dump caused to level up the environmental pollution in the area as well as it’s a huge treat to the health conditions of the people around the area.

Illegal dump farming. Here we have so many garment factories and all the non biodegradable materials were thrown to the previously m process mentioned garbage dump.

As a result of this people have to leave their places in the rainy season. Not only the bad smell but also rats, cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies and other animals are highly contagious. And also it caused to spread dengue fever in the area and there have been more than twenty deaths. Because of the garbage dump drainage systems were blocked. Therefore it caused to occur floods.

This is a problem that the residents of the area have been facing for years. We have informed to the relevant authorities about this argent matter. But still they did not take necessary steps to prevent this matter.

It's better if the government can start recycling or using the garbage as an energy source. Now the city council has taken some actions to collect garbage and separate them as decomposing and non-decomposing garbage. It's a good sign action taken by the government. But according to my opinion. I think this garbage dump is the reason for so many troubles in our area. Taking any of the relevant actions or steps to prevent this problem it will be a huge relief for the people.

☸️  Sri Maha Bodhi☸️      Sri Maha Bodhi is a sacred acacia tree located in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It is a southern sapling of the historic Bodhi tree that the Buddha left behind in attaining Enlightenment. This was planted in 288 BC. It is the oldest known tree in the world to have been planted by human hands and to have survived. This Sri Maha Bodhi is a southern branch of the Maha Bodhi in Buddhagaya, India, which was released when the Buddha attained Enlightenment. BC In the 3rd century, this tree was brought to the port now known as Sangamitta Ferry at Madagal in Yapa Patune, Lakdiva by Miss Sangamitta, the daughter of Emperor Ashoka. She was a pioneer in establishing the Sri Lanka Bhikkhuni Sasana. 249 BC King Devanampiyatissa planted this Jaya Siri Maha Bodhi in the Maha Mevna Uyana in Anuradhapura.
