            Elephant resource



           The value of the elephant resource that is a gift to our small island of Sri Lanka is indescribable.The elephant, inherited from Asia, is the most glorious animal in the world.Since the time of kings, these animals have come very close to our lives for various religious festivals and to facilitate our daily activities economically.


      In the course of time, with the advancement of human beings, this legacy which was a boon to human lives has been destroyed due to various acts of corrupt people.The innocent man of that time has become ungrateful people today. This man has also become a threat to the valuable elephant resource.Today, the human-elephant conflict is escalating due to the actions of this man.


       Only a handful of the elephant resources that were plentiful in the past remain today.‌We must strive to preserve that legacy and pass it on to future generations.

☸️  Sri Maha Bodhi☸️      Sri Maha Bodhi is a sacred acacia tree located in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It is a southern sapling of the historic Bodhi tree that the Buddha left behind in attaining Enlightenment. This was planted in 288 BC. It is the oldest known tree in the world to have been planted by human hands and to have survived. This Sri Maha Bodhi is a southern branch of the Maha Bodhi in Buddhagaya, India, which was released when the Buddha attained Enlightenment. BC In the 3rd century, this tree was brought to the port now known as Sangamitta Ferry at Madagal in Yapa Patune, Lakdiva by Miss Sangamitta, the daughter of Emperor Ashoka. She was a pioneer in establishing the Sri Lanka Bhikkhuni Sasana. 249 BC King Devanampiyatissa planted this Jaya Siri Maha Bodhi in the Maha Mevna Uyana in Anuradhapura.
